Mitchell, Oregon - I Have No Words

Mitchel was a hoot. Population 153, one road, old guys with long beards, and the town attraction was a sad, slightly autistic bear. We camped in the city park and made smores (yummy). It was still hot, so I ran through the sprinklers to cool down, and we slept without a rain fly, which turned out to be a bad idea.
The one store had a collection (mounted on all available wall space) of 50++ taxidermied deer, antelope, and elk heads. Wild.

| Today I Learned | You can climb a lot of feet on a bicycle, as long as they're not steep! From Prineville to the Ochoco pass we almost didn't notice that we were climbing because the ascent was gradual. Awesome. The way down was breathtaking and a lot of fun. The fastest I've ever gone on a bike for sure. |
