NEVER RIDING ALONE!

WHAT AN AWESOME END OF A RAINY DAY!!!

I am at the Public Library in Council, Idaho. We only rode 24 miles today because we hit heavy rain and some pretty big hills...all our paniers were wet and so was everything in them, our clothes, our electronics were damp and some of our postcards got pretty wet too (so you all might receive some postcards with ink smudges and blurrs...well you’ll know i was carrying those today....so we arrived in Council, stopped for food...YUMMY FOOD...i ordered a veggie stir fry with shrimp in a garlic sauce over rice....YUMM!!! (like i mentioned in my last blog...i have been loving food these days!!!). And then we got a room for $25 cause we wanted to keep away from the cold and the rain....so although our room has no personal bathroom and it’s on the upstairs of the local bar, like Cesar says “Somos buenos pobres” and it will work for the night. We are hoping to ride 50-some miles tomorrow so a good night’s rest will be GREAT! Btu where was i going with this.......

OH...YES!…

WHAT AN AWESOME END OF A RAINY DAY!!! After throwing our clothes in the hotel dryer and heading over to the library i open the Flee the Cube site only to find so many love notes from my friends and family.....and it feels BEAUTIFUL to have their support. To have Ashley write me from her office desk in Downtown LA, John from KHS, in Culver City, Deby and my litte sister form Cuba, my mom and my grandpa from Geneva, my aunt from Spain....Migue y Daly from Argentina....i feel so loved and i feel so supported. I realize that though my family and friends really are spread out all over the world, they are always with me; whether i am in Los Angeles in my car driving to Zabumba, or pedaling across this entire country. I feel so lucky and blessed to have so much love in my life; and being on a bike for 4-8 hours sure gives me time to realize and appreciate these blessings.

I also want to give a shout out to Cesar for being so supportive and patient with me...i know he could cross the country at least twice at the pace i am going; since i am probably like 5-10mph slower than him (at least), but he lets me keep the pace (I always ride in front, though i think he enjoys riding behind me for other reasons as well!!!) but yeah....i wanna thank you Cesitar for being so encouraging and supportive, pushing me to be a better athlete, and for wearing that totally un-cool helmet mirror to keep us safe on the bigger roads! You are awesome-Possom!
