Today on our ride into Sheridan we stopped for Lunch at Twin Bridges, a small town with a public library who’s librarian let us have our packed lunches inside since it was so cold and rainy outside. We sat in the Children’s Books Section making our cheese and tofurky sandwiches when i overheard two little children laughing by the window. One little girl sat with a “Jokes for School” book she had picked up and was sharing these jokes with her little boy friend.
Q. What animal doesn’t ever study for the school exams?
A. The Cheetah
Q. How does the bee get to school?
A. On the Buzzzzzzzz
Q. Why did the frog take the Bus?
A. Because his car was TOAD.
Q. What is the snake’s favorite subject in school?
A. hissssssstory
Q. Why did the teacher fall in love with the Janitor?
A. Because he swept her off her feet.
We finished our lunch, i checked out the “Wizardology: Merlin’s Book for Young Magicians “ while Cesar checked out the rest of our route on the map. We took off to Sheridan, and on the road, as we rode side by side, i became that little girl, and Cesar became that little boy; i shared these jokes i had overheard and then we laughed too.
